66 Moments in Time:

22 photographers from here and there, during the 2020 Pandemic

curated by Victoria Bryan

In April, 2020, I sent this email out:

“I have an idea.... I'm emailing a group of friends who enjoy photos. Some are photographers, some wouldn't call themselves that, but are interested in how the image marks moments in time.  And we are in such a moment! IF you would like to shoot and choose up to three images between now and May 1st, I'd like to create an online gallery of how our lives look during covid19. Inside, outside, close, distant, people/no people, cats, dogs, crocodiles...doesn't matter.  It's just how it looks.  Phone-cam, polaroid, pin-hole, point-and-shoot, DSLR...all good.”

The idea for A Moment in Time came from my own photo practice, guided by the eye, in which I walk with a camera. Later, as I edit, I uncover connections between the visual fragments of the everyday environment and the larger world. The Pandemic seems like a fruitful time to enquire about what other artists are seeing and finding.

A huge thank you to the artists who participated:
